

What you can expect in your sessions
Everyone is at different stages of their health journey and, thus, seeking unique support to reach their goals. I cater for these differing needs via two distinct service streams, and our journey together will loosely follow their respective paths. Having said this, once you are through the door we will work together flexibly according to your specific needs and goals.
Real food and diet composition are king at Intrinsic Nutrition. This means that nutritional supplements may form part of a short-term treatment plan for some clients, but this is not the initial, primary or ongoing focus. What is much more important is how you interact with real food in the real world through long-term habits. My approach is centred upon enabling my clients to develop self-sustaining practices for life through education and support.
Good health should be available to everyone, so I offer reduced rates for clients who hold a valid concession card. You may also be able to claim a rebate with an eligible private health fund membership in accordance with your individual policy.
Depending on your unique needs, our sessions together may include:
A deep dive into health history and challenges, diet and lifestyle habits and behaviours, and the functional state of each body system through a series of consultation questions.
Recommendations for additional testing (e.g. functional testing) and assessment activities (e.g. food diary).
Short-term prescription of nutritional supplements.
A comprehensive, personalised and adaptive nutrition plan to address specific health challenges and imbalances comprising detailed diet, food and nutrient recommendations.
Educational opportunities to better understand states of imbalance in the body and how dietary habits contribute to them.
Diet and lifestyle recommendations to support sustainable balance in the body.
Encouragement, resources and tools to develop and maintain healthy, long-term dietary habits.
Developing a deeper understanding of personal underlying health behaviour motivations and drivers, and the external factors that influence food choices and dietary habits.
Through habits-based nutrition, you will learn:
What your body's imbalances are trying to tell you, and how to rebalance to enjoy optimal wellness.

NOURISH
For those of you in need of some nourishment to rebalance


These sessions are designed for clients with specific or diagnosed health issues that you would like to address through a focused and targeted nutrition approach. This can be of benefit either in tandem with your other treatments or as a standalone diet and lifestyle strategy. In these sessions, we will aim to restore balance in your body, giving it the best possible chance to heal and self-regulate. Following a comprehensive initial discussion to gain an understanding of your history and current state of health, you will receive an individualised plan centred upon recommended diet and lifestyle modifications in your second session. Functional testing and nutritional supplements may also be suggested within this service stream.

FLOURISH
For those of you ready to shake up your food habits and flourish


These sessions have been designed for people without specific ailments who are seeking to adopt a preventative diet approach and/or take the next step in their wellness journey. This may include a desire to holistically clean up your diet, generally feel better and learn new eating habits or prevent ill health through good dietary patterns. In these sessions, I will coach you through a series of activities to embed long-term behaviours, including working through your motivations and barriers, goal setting and creating new habits. This journey is designed to span three sessions and as many additional follow-up appointments as you desire to keep progressing or stay on track. However, we will align our approach with your unique circumstances when we begin working together to achieve the best outcomes for you.
